Biography
Teddy Karlinski grew up as the quintessential Colorado
kid, hitting the slopes in the winter and the fairways
in the summer. A standout snowboarder and golfer in
high school, Teddy has moved on to Front Range
College where his quest to compete in snowboarding
at the X Games continues.
Teddy and his younger sister, Jordie,
are well known on the slopes around Aspen where they
have been tearing it up since childhood. In fact, Teddy
deserves more than a little bit of credit for Jordie’s
success in women’s snowboarding as his little sister
was able to hone her talents by trying to keep up with
her big brother and his friends. While Teddy has found
the men’s elite field tougher to break into, he
takes a step or two closer every season.
During the 2006 season, Teddy was runner-up
in the slopestyle competition at the Jackson Hole stop
on the Chevrolet Reunion Tour. He was also fifth in slopestyle
at the 2006 Mount Bachelor (Ore.) Grand Prix.
Teddy’s training includes a significant
amount of backcountry boarding, where he has performed
tricks for several video productions. He would like to
pursue additional opportunities in the sports video and
movie business.
For now, snowboarding is Teddy’s
main passion, but golf prowess isn’t out of the
question for his future. As a high school senior, Teddy
was the runner-up at the Colorado 4A Golf Championships.
Personal
Teddy’s parents are Andy and Suzy. He has two sisters,
Jordie and Alex. Teddy is enrolled at the University
of Northern Colorado
